About Mevé
Environment
As an environmentally responsible developer, the Beeliar Joint Venture has been working hard at Mevé to generate an environment where nature’s gifts are preserved.
A big part of our environmental planning has been the retention and regeneration of natural bushland and vegetation, and indigenous flora and fauna.
With more than half of the estate bordered by the ecologically important Beeliar Regional Park, a sanctuary for local flora and fauna, habitat links were created to allow native animals to move freely (and safely) across the estate and into neighbouring bushland.
Some of the exciting initiatives undertaken at Mevé with the community include the Bird Nest Box Project the development of a bush picnic area, walking trail through the Beeliar Regional Park, and the creation of a sustainable environmental management plan.
Beeliar Regional Park Walk Trails
3 walk trails around Meve and into the Beeliar Regional Park have recently been developed to guide people through the wonderful environment that surrounds the estate. The Regional Park's wetlands and bush provide a refuge for a variety of plants and animals and it is vital that they be protected and care for. The trails are clearly marked on footpaths or trail markers with either the tortoise logo of the Regional Park or the Be Active Beeliar footprint.
The trails vary in length form 4 to 5 km and take between 45 min and one hour to complete at moderate walking pace.
